Unpaved Roads 2026 — Official Dates

Unpaved Roads is a non-competitive gravel festival, taking place on dirt roads, trails, and paved roads, reserved exclusively for members of Gravel Tour ASD (hereinafter also referred to as the event or improperly as the race or weekend).
Art. 1 – Registration
Admission to the event is open to all persons who have reached the age of 18 at the time of registration, regardless of nationality.
Art. 2 – Affiliation
Unpaved Roads is an event reserved exclusively for members of Gravel Tour ASD.
Those who are not members of the aforementioned sports club will become so at the time of registration for the event.
The Organization may at any time and at its sole discretion decide whether or not to accept a registration or exclude a registrant from the event if they may damage its image.
Art. 3 – Medical Certificate
For all participants, it is MANDATORY to present a valid medical certificate to the organization, issued by a sports medical center or a doctor.
The accepted certificates are (1 or 2):
1. Certificate of fitness for sports activities with high cardiovascular commitment. You can find the template here.
2. Competitive Medical Certificate for Cycling
NOTE: The Competitive Medical Certificate must be specific for CYCLING. We cannot accept medical certificates issued for other sports disciplines such as triathlon, athletics, etc.
The medical certificate must have an expiration date after the date of the event and must be uploaded after registration.
The medical certificate must be uploaded to the website www.bikeadventureseries.com in the "My account" area (https://bikeadventureseries.com/my-account/). The expiration date of the medical certificate must also be specified.
If the medical certificate is not compliant, it will be rejected and the registrant must provide a new compliant one within the established deadlines.
Failure to comply with this requirement means the registration is not considered regular and there is no right to a refund of the registration fee.
Each participant must declare pursuant to D.P.R. no. 445 of December 28, 2000, that the documents submitted are truthful and correspond to the originals in their possession.
Art. 4 – Routes and Tracks
Each Unpaved Roads stage features two routes: a long route and a short route. The routes take place on dirt roads, single tracks, and paved roads.
The organization will provide all participants with the .gpx tracks of the routes to follow. However, please note that at any time and for any reason related to safety, as well as traffic conditions and road viability, including road works, detours, prohibitions, and any other imponderable situation that may be encountered along the provided route, everyone is free, at their own discretion, to leave the track and resume it as soon as these critical conditions have ceased and safety is guaranteed again. One may therefore deviate from the provided track at any time and resume it later, using alternative roads at their own discretion, if conditions require.
The organization reserves the right to modify the routes up to a few days before the event.
Art. 5 – Start and Event Pack Pickup
Precise times and procedures for collecting the event pack will be communicated in the digital event guide.
Once the accreditation pack has been collected, participants can start the route according to the procedures communicated in the digital guide.
Art. 6 – Respect for the Highway Code
Unpaved Roads is a NON-COMPETITIVE GRAVEL FESTIVAL on dirt roads, trails, and paved roads; the entire route will always be open to traffic and therefore compliance with the Highway Code is mandatory for all participants. It is also mandatory to have a repair kit for breakdowns and punctures.
Art. 7 – Event Characteristics – Warning
All participants must:
- be physically prepared
- have off-road riding skills
- have a spirit of adaptability
- have a good knowledge of GPS use and basic orientation
- in the spirit of gravel, any type of external support is prohibited (except obviously in cases of emergency).
Art. 8 – Mandatory Kit
For their own personal safety, in case of emergency or getting lost, every participant is obliged to carry the following minimum safety equipment for the entire duration of their experience:
- reflective vest
- whistle or bell
- mobile phone
- approved helmet to be worn at all times
- white front light and red rear light
Art. 9 – Registration and Participation Fee
Registration opening: January 12, 2026. Limited spots: 300 participants per stage.
From November 1 to 7, 2025, an early registration window is active via Bundle with the Tuscany Trail.

Art. 10 – Validity of Registration
Registration is considered valid only after completing the electronic registration procedure, with the corresponding electronic credit issued to the organizer, and after sending the medical certificate, which must be uploaded to the My Account section within 30 days before the event.
The Organization may, at any time and at its sole discretion, without obligation of further motivation, decide whether or not to accept anyone's registration.
Art. 11 – Substitution and Withdrawal
With reference to the Event, it is not possible to request a participant substitution once registered. If a registrant does not participate in the event, the participation fee will not be refunded in any case, and the event pack will not be shipped.
Art. 12 – Cancellation or Postponement of the Event
Cancellation – If, due to force majeure, such as pandemics or wars, the event cannot take place, the amount paid at the time of registration will not be refunded; however, the participation fee will be considered valid if a registration request is made for the following edition. The organization will also be entitled to a contribution of €14.00 for deferring registration to the following year, covering insurance costs. The registration request for the following year and payment of the administrative contribution must be completed by the date set by the organization after the event is canceled.
Postponement – Furthermore, for reasons of force majeure or other serious reasons, such as for example pandemics or wars, which should jeopardize the preparation of the event or participation in it by a number of people not less than half of the registered participants, the Organization reserves the right to move the location and/or date of the event within the same calendar year. In this case, the registration fee will be valid for the rescheduled event, with no additional cost for registrants. In this case, it is not possible to move the registration to the following year's edition.
Art. 13 – Variations
In the face of new environmental and/or health circumstances/or in the event of changes to the regulatory framework, the Organization reserves the right to make reasonable changes to the regulations at any time. The official website of the event, where these regulations are published, is the only source of information about the event. Therefore, any different content from previous communications via newsletters, press, or social media cannot be invoked.
Art. 14 – Approval, Consent, Authorization, etc.
By asking to participate in Unpaved Roads, each participant at the time of registration:
- Declares having read and approved these Rules & Regulations and accepting every part of them;
- Acts as guarantor for their own behavior during and after the event;
- Declares to be in good physical condition and to have provided the organization with a valid medical certificate after undergoing a medical aptitude test for cycling (Competitive Medical Certificate for Cycling or Certificate of fitness for sports activities with high cardiovascular commitment), providing the organization with full indemnity for any damage they may suffer as a result of their participation in the event;
- Declares having taken cognizance that the event they are participating in is a non-competitive event without rankings;
- Declares being aware that there is no medical or mechanical assistance service provided by the organizers of the cycling event named Unpaved Roads;
- Declares being aware that there is no recovery service for withdrawals, nor are there obligations on the part of the organizers to search for participants along the route;
- Declares being aware that there is no obligation on the part of the organization to marshal the roads crossed by participating cyclists;
- Declares being aware that the participation fee will not be refunded in any case;
- Declares having experience and being aware of the possibility of encountering adverse weather conditions and being able to orient themselves and cycle in hills and medium mountains in such conditions;
- Declares being aware that the organizer "Gravel Tour ASD" is not a professional organizing body, but acts solely for recreational and non-patrimonial purposes (Art. 1174 Civil Code); and therefore participation in Unpaved Roads always takes place by free choice and for recreational purposes, in any case not patrimonial. It follows, therefore, that the aforementioned organizing ASD is free from, and in any case indemnified against, any liability connected to the Unpaved Roads event. It is also indemnified against any liability arising from occurrences affecting the cyclist during Unpaved Roads, such as accidents, getting lost, physical problems, theft, etc. It follows therefore that the Unpaved Roads event is intended as a mere meeting with spontaneous and independent participation of cycle tourists and amateurs on a free and personal excursion; – that for the pure spirit of hospitality and courtesy without the requirements ex Art. 1174 and following of the Civil Code, the aforementioned organizing ASD may organize one or more refreshment points for participants, subject to voluntary contribution, which the cyclist undertakes to pay before facing the Unpaved Roads event;
- Declares that, therefore, the cyclist participating in the Unpaved Roads event waives taking any legal action under any title against the aforementioned organizing ASD, recognizing that it is a non-professional association acting for recreational purposes, lacking the requirements (ex Art. 1174 Civil Code);
- Expresses consent to the use of their data, including for commercial purposes, as provided by the Consolidated Law on Privacy no. 196 of 30/06/2003 and the European Union Regulation on Privacy 2017/679 (GDPR/18);
- Grants the organizers the broadest consent to use, in ways permitted by law, including for profit, any video or photographic images taken during the event days, and provides the organization with the right to transfer such images to third parties. The aforementioned authorization for the use of one's image must be understood as granted indefinitely and without territorial limits worldwide, for use in various publications and films, including, by way of example and not limited to, promotional and/or advertising materials created on all media. The organization may also transfer to third parties, and to its institutional and commercial partners, the rights of use provided for in this agreement. The organization disclaims all responsibility for itself and its collaborators for accidents or damage to persons or property that may occur before, during, after, or as a result of the event.
Art. 15 – Processing and Registration of Personal Data
The processing and registration of personal data will be carried out by the following company:

The personal data of all participants will be processed and registered in compliance with the provisions of the Consolidated Law on Privacy no. 196 of 30/06/2003 and the European Union Regulation on Privacy 2017/679 (GDPR/18).
TRANSFER OF PERSONAL DATA TO ADVENTURELAB srl FOR THEIR MARKETING PURPOSES.
With the user's consent, Gravel Tour ASD will, with the user's consent, communicate personal data to AdventureLab srl for its marketing purposes.

We inform you that your personal, identification, and contact data, acquired by Gravel Tour ASD and collected by it during the Unpaved Roads event, are processed, subject to your consent, by ADVENTURELAB srl (hereinafter also Partner), as Controller, to contact you for commercial information purposes using communication techniques (paper and electronic mail, calls with or without operator, fax, SMS, MMS, and other distance communication techniques, messages via social media or web applications).
You may know which of your data are processed at the Partner and, where the conditions are met, exercise the various rights relating to their use (right of access, rectification, update, integration, cancellation, limitation of processing, portability, revocation of consent to processing, and to obtain a copy of your data where these are stored in countries outside the European Union, as well as to obtain an indication of the place where such data are stored or transferred) as well as to oppose for legitimate reasons their particular processing and in any case their use for commercial purposes, in whole or in part, also with regard to the use of automated methods by contacting: AdventureLab Via Giulio Braga, 98 59100 Prato [email protected] or the Data Protection Officer (DPO), contactable via e-mail at "[email protected]" and/or via ordinary mail at the address "AdventureLab srl Via Giulio Braga, 98 59100 Prato". Your data will be stored in compliance with the privacy legislation applicable from time to time, and in any case for a period not exceeding 24 months from the time of collection.
Your data will not be disseminated and will be treated with suitable methods and procedures, including computerized ones, by our employees, collaborators, and other subjects, including external ones, designated as Data Processors or, in any case, operating as Controllers, who are involved in the management of relationships with you or who perform tasks of a technical, organizational, or operational nature on our behalf.
